Magical 31 Frames?

Does 31 fps still hold true for best performance on various platforms? Is there any reference for this?

I have actualy been wondering about this recently with teh FP8 knocking around, has it been imporved.

I expect that it is still going to be needed to take into account the legacy players users are still using

well, in Mac, player 8 now runs smooth like in Pc, as long as your computer supports LG acceleration(G3 and some G4 are out of luck)...so its better to stick with old tricks ;)

While we're talking about fps ... I just read this article on fps detection ... but it's for video specifically ... Lott wrote it recently.
