Long Overdue - FlashPitt
Its been close to a week since I've been back from the lovely city of Pittsburgh- having attended FlashPitt 2008. I have a bunch of incriminating photos to pull from the camera still :)
I was honoured to be asked to speak at this event - doing a session entitled "Experience vs Functionality". Due to a small scheduling conflict, I ended up being the only choice the poor people had during that day, so my room was pretty packed. As always, I had some "choice" slides and this seemed to be everyones favorite of the day:

FlashPitt, was well just really nice. Meaning I got to see speakers that I haven't seen speak before or even met for that matter. End of the day could not come soon enough for me with Golan Levin speaking - big fan of his work and Zachary Lieberman's.
Kudos to the team that put together FlashPitt - Val and Joe. They started off knowing little about running a conference, came away knowing it all - and pretty much sold it out while doing it. Thank you for having me - I had a great time.
A big hi to all the people I got to meet ( maybe for the second time but who am I to remember after a beer ? ) - Lee Brimelow who I saw giggling like a little girl during my session, Jose @ JRVisuals who I made do stupid stuff as the night wore on, Zander from the ship, Dan Mall from HappyCog,Ben Pritchard and the jolly green giant John Lindquist. It was a pleasure and to those I was too lazy to name as well :)
And to the guy who said I was " very outspoken" and missing a "censor", - yep. thats me. I can get back in the kitchen if it would make you feel more comfortable, but guaranteed it won't shut me up :)

Wow FlashPITT was a lot of fun. I talked to you and Jose at the bar for an hour. :)
You were by far the funniest speaker and you didn't need a censor lol.
Post any pics you have of the networking thing afterwords, that would be a great addition. :)
Good Luck in your future endeavors,
Luke Weatherlow
